CCMC 350 Hello There!

Today is a new color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary!  We are using tones of Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry and Night of Navy for this week's creations!

I used the Bokeh technique for my background.  To create this, you simply sponge areas of colors onto White cardstock then add circles of White Craft Ink.  Using several circle punches, I made a stencil from cardstock which I used for adding the white circles.  Move the stencil around to get as many circles as you wish; it is alright for the white spots to overlap each other some also.  Let dry (the craft ink takes longer to dry; a heat tool will help!)

Next I stamped the Daydream Medallion in Night of Navy onto the background.  I used a stamp from the hostess set Hello There to stamp the sentiment and embossed it with White Embossing Powder and the heat tool.  Two petite butterflies were added for the final touch.

Stamps:  Hello There, Daydream Medallions, Papillon Potpotpourri.
Inks:  Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Night of Navy ink pads; White Craft Ink pad.
Paper:  Whisper White, Night of Navy, Calypso Coral
Accessories:  Bitty Butterfly Punch, 1-3/4, 1-3/8", 1", 3/4", 1/2" Circle Punches, Stampin' Sponges, Heat Tool, White Embossing Powder.

Here is the Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge this week:

Isn't this a great combination?  We can't wait to see what YOU create with it!  Jump over to the Create with Connie and Mary blog and see the other Challenge Team Designers' cards then make your own project with the challenge colors!  Link you card up on the blog so we can enjoy it also!!

Happy Stamping!

Margaret

What a great way to use a bokeh background - this card has a really fresh feel Margaret, I love it! The use of the Daydream Medallion stamp to frame your sentiment works so well too.

Great Bokeh, and what a great idea to stamp directly over it with the Night of Navy to frame your greeting! Very pretty card!
